O is for Offering

Today was a blast! We met at Nila and Baby Sarah's house, and Tessa led the lesson. Nila provided a fabulous grab bag of O items and Tessa led us in song "God loves a cheerful giver", read the story of the widow and her two coins from the bible, and had the girls practicing writing Os in many ways. We ended playing on the new play place and a yummy lunch of Mac and cheese, salad and fruit. A lovely, educational Friday!

N is for Nun!

After a brief hiatus, we are back! We had some new friends join us who added to the fun. After singing, praying and practicing writing big "N" and little "n" we made our Nun puppets. We then took a field trip to meet a real live nun! Sr Theresa had a fabulous nun doll and a story about what Nuns do. The kids loved it! What a fun day.

"M" is for Monstrance: March 1, 2013

Today we had class on Hemlock with Emma, Sophia, Sarah and Monica.
Teachers: Tessa, Maureen and Nila.

M is for Monstrance from Catholic ABCs.  Tessa provided the crafts.  After practicing making Ms, we created a Monstrance with a doily, construction paper, glue and paint.  Then we took all of the little hooligans to adoration at Holy Spirit.  They did fabulously!!!
